Origin: Hereford, England; brought to notice in 1826. Fruit roundish conical to oblong, medium to large size. Skin: pale yellow to deeper yellow in the sun, shaded, mottled and splashed with red and many light dots and brown or grey russet. Flesh: yellowish, crisp, fine textured and juicy, brisk sub-acid, slightly aromatic. Very good dessert apple. Late season.
