Originated near Hudson, Columbia County, New York; recorded in 1845. Fruit roundish oblate, medium to large size. Skin: smooth, glossy, clear light or greenish yellow, blushed, striped and splashed with scarlet, often with large red areolar dots with russet centers. Flesh white or with slight yellowish tinge, moderately juicy, mild to brisk sub-acid; good quality for kitchen use. Ripens October-February. Resistant to scab.
