Nora M. Scott grew this bean on her farm in Baudette, MN for over 60 years, having obtained it from her mother, Ragne Lauritson. Nora’s granddaughter, Crystal Mathisrud, told us, “These beans are very important to me and my family. Great Grandma [Ragne] and Grandma [Nora] made the best baked beans using these beans and just a little bit of bacon and molasses. They were asked for at every community and family gathering throughout the years.”
